Getting eclipse error when trying to go to configuration

I click on the 5.0 new ( pick any way, I've tried them all ) and I never see the configuration screen.

I get this error in the eclipse log...

java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: getLaunchGroup

any ideas, this eclipse 3.0 and 1.3.30 ide
