    Upgrade M2 to M#

      Hi All,

      I downloaded a bundled JBoss-IDE (JBossIDE-1.5M2-Bundle+EJB3-win32.zip).

Could I update to M3 through an update site? What's the URL?

If no update site is available, is it a matter of download and unzip over my current installation? What happens with already installed third-party plug-ins?

Thank you in advance for your help.

      Ed.

In theory it should work, the update site is given in http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=62726

However, the development site doesn't work (see third post in the above mentioned thread). Actually it never worked for me. So I'm afraid we all need to be patient and see if they fix it some day or do it manually.

I actually did it manually the other day. I figured that I better reinstall eclipse completely to avoid potential chaos. But even if you do so, you have to keep in mind that you need to edit some project files, too. Eclipse won't find a bunch of classes otherwise. In xdoclet-build.xml I had to change all the class names with _1.5.0.M2 to _1.5.0.M3. After that everything worked in my case. But I'm only using the plain EJB stuff right now. For Hibernate, EJB 3.0 and the works there may be similar changes neccessary. So better keep a backup ;)
