cant get RHDS beta to work with embedded jboss 4.2 - Any clu

dowloaded RHDS with embedded jboss - ran installer and excepted all defaults including installing the 4.2.1 AS.

I than tried to create a seam project

it tries to create a project with an EAR 5.0 facet. - this immediately errors at it says jboss server 4.2 cant support EAR 5.

I have downloaded jboss 5 beta - but cant find a server adapter that correctly starts and runs jboss 5 .

anyone got any idea about how this is suppsoed to work and where do i get a jboss 5 server adapter? and i'll try that

EAR deployment is flakey in beta1 - use nightly download if you want something *now*

jboss 5 is not something we started working on yet.

okay - will take a punt at that -

can you use remote update site - or do you have to copy to local machine as mentioned in wiki and manually config then have europa read local copy?

okay - confused in ipswich here.

tried to download the jboss tools from the nightly update site inside RHDS and it doesnt recognise the build - cant remenmber the exact error but does nothing.

caved in and ran my europa build at the exact same update site it it found it and confirmed the download.

eclipse restarts - so far so good.

try and create a jboss v5 AS config - and run it and it fails in to batch file somewhere - will dig out the error and attach when i get back.

so deleted that again and just left my trusty 4.2AS config.

told it to create a seam project - which it does as an ordinary java project and some libaries - but no EAR v5 facet is added on the create wizard (which is what happend on the RHDS beta i had).

the standard europa (no EAR v5 facet ) standard project says okay - havnt written a test app to try it but it compiles okay as empty stub.

therefore the jboss tools download doesnt match whats been put into RHDS.

My brian has given in and i'm off to bed - if anyone can elucidate the difference between the RHDS work stream and the jbosstools build i'd appreciate it so i know which way to jump -

There are no nightly updatesite, only separate downloads.

The updatesite uses the same binaries as RHDS so that is indeed the same.
