Jboss tools seam views dont work in Ganymede

Tried several times to try jboss tools in early releases of Eclipse ganymede, but it all always errored.

Just checked the Ganymede production build - and installed latest version of jboss tools -
It ries to run the wizard to setup seam project (however it only offered me seam 1.2 and not 2.0 in the drop down

I couldnt complete the wizard however I get similar problems to those referenced in

where i get view errors where on the right hand side where the seam web templates are.

Essentially the latest version doesnt appear to be compatible with eclsipe ganymede -

Is this a quick fix or significant engineering job to get it to work with ganyemede?

We'll migrate trunk to Ganimede release this week, I supopse it should be quick fix, we'll see today.

It looks like gfe 3.4.0 changed the package for

org.eclipse.gef.internal.ui.palette.editparts.PaletteEditPart

to

org.eclipse.gef.ui.palette.editparts.PaletteEditPart

.

thats good that we its localised - do we have to wait or a v3 build to pick up a comptaible version - or would there be a 2.1.x release patch /build that would enable the 2.1.x line to operate within ganymede.

any views from the team on how you expect to handle the incompatbility.

trying toi figure out how much to look at ganymede and its new features vs stay on callisto until a major release sync point is laid out

I doubt there will be 2.1.x version compatible with Ganymede. Palette problem is just easy catch:) There are lot more issues were fixed during migration to Ganymede http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBIDE-2130

Yes, 2.x will always be Eclipse 3.2.x based.

3.x is what will work for Ganymede.

If someone want it differently come and contribute by maintaining the different branches and builds needed for making this happen.
