1. Re: xml encription and signature in JBossWS
thomas.diesler Jan 21, 2005 8:37 AM (in response to cartola)Its on the roadmap. Do you have an implementation that is not tied to a specific SOAP stack like Axis?

2. Re: xml encription and signature in JBossWS
cartola Jan 21, 2005 10:19 AM (in response to cartola)Thanks for the quick reply.
Actually I?ve been following your tutorial: Getting Started with JBoss 4.0.
I?ve deployed successfully The Duke?s Bank Application as a web service.
I was hopping to add xml encryption and signature to this web service.
Is there a way to accomplish this? -
3. Re: xml encription and signature in JBossWS
jboss Jan 21, 2005 10:25 AM (in response to cartola)Hello.
I was also trying to add xml security to my web service
My implementation is independent; it?s not tied to Axis. -

5. Re: xml encription and signature in JBossWS
jfadame Jul 14, 2005 11:03 AM (in response to cartola)Try http://weblogs.asp.net/jdanforth/archive/2005/01/16/354060.aspx
Remember to install first XML Security libraries from Apache:Download bin libraries (or source if you want to build it) http://xml.apache.org/security/
Copy xmlsec[version].jar to lib directory in server, but rename it as xmlsec.jar
Check if everything is ok http://localhost:8080/ws4ee/happyaxis.jsp (this page must show if it is installed or faulty in Optional Components section)
This what I have done until now to run WSS4J over jBoss, if I success I will post the rest of the procedure.

thomas.diesler Jul 22, 2005 2:33 PM (in response to cartola)We have support for encryption and signature in jboss HEAD with our new JBossWS stack. Jason would be glad if you could give it a spin.

9. Re: xml encription and signature in JBossWS
ishafizan Sep 1, 2005 3:58 AM (in response to cartola)trying ws-security @
http://www.devx.com/Java/Article/28816/0/page/4
having problems with this line (WSSecuritySample.java):
SOAPEnvelope unsignedEnvelope = axisMessage.getSOAPEnvelope();
which gives out this error (in eclipse):
cannot convert from SOAPEnvelopeAxisImpl to SOAPEnvelope
what i did next:
- changed the code to this:
SOAPEnvelopeAxisImpl unsignedEnvelope = axisMessage.getSOAPEnvelope();
then i ran it and it gave me this:
root cause
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.apache.axis.Message.getSOAPEnvelope()Lorg/apache/axis/message/SOAPEnvelopeAxisImpl;
am i missing any libraries/jars in JBOSS? currently using jboss-4.0.3RC2, freshly downloaded.
can someone help me? appreciate any pointers and i'll try it out. thanks. -

14. Re: xml encription and signature in JBossWS
zhijun Jan 22, 2007 11:50 AM (in response to cartola)We have JBoss 4.0.5, which includes JBossWS.
From the following page
http://labs.jboss.com/portal/jbossws/user-guide/en/html/wssecurity.html
it looks like I should be able to do XML signing of Web Service requests. Is it true or do I need additional components to digitally sign my SOAP request?
Thanks."thomas.diesler@jboss.com" wrote:
