1. Re: Sending an Oracle JMS message to the ESB
kurtstam Jan 3, 2008 10:47 AM (in response to tschungelbuch)For Oracle AQ you can check the Administration Guide, and also the helloword_action quickstart has a oracle_aq directory with an example config.

5. Re: Sending an Oracle JMS message to the ESB
tschungelbuch Jan 4, 2008 10:18 AM (in response to tschungelbuch)I would like to use the oracle database job functionality to send on execution time a oracle aq jms message to the esb in order to execute the action list defined in the jboss-esb.xml.
I have an esb up and running using the schedule provider, but I would like to replace it by the above to overcome the unnecessary db polling. But I have so far never worked with the oracle aq jms tools.
If you have samples on how to setup the oracle side to send messages to the esb would be very much appreciated.
Please let me know, if you need further information.
Kind regards

6. Re: Sending an Oracle JMS message to the ESB
kurtstam Jan 4, 2008 10:29 AM (in response to tschungelbuch)Sorry for being a little slow here, but can't you write a trigger on a table to drop a message on the Oracle/AQ queue? Which will then be picked up by the ESB?
Or do you not like the polling of the jms-listener? I doubt AQ support JCA inflow, but you could try to set that up using the JCA gateway.
Sorry if I'm way off, I'm still trying to understand what it is you're actually asking.

This is actually exactly what I would like to do, but as I wrote, I am new to AQ, therefore I thought that you may have a sample of AQ and ESB.
Kind regards
