JBoss ESB Message interceptors

Hi

I am evaluating JBoss ESB now and new to JBoss ESB. I am looking for some kind of interceptor / filter logic which will intercept all the requests coming to JBoss ESB for some pre processing purpose. Initially i want to do an audit trail and logging of the messages received to the ESB.

I know that i can configure listeners to log messages at ESB module level. But would like to know will it be possible to write a single interceptor for all messages coming to Jboss ESB and log them and route to appropriate module.

There are InputOutputFilters that can be applied to every message going in/out of the ESB, does this suit your needs?

Thanks for response Kevin, Yes, i need filters to be applied to every message received in to ESB.and I think InputOutputFilters meet my requirement. Will you please shed some more light on InputOutputFilters ? Is there any sample / quick reference document available on how to configure / use them?

I guess i can configure many services in a ESB module (.esb file) and i need to configure filters for each esb module. Please validate my understanding.

There's documentation in the Programmers Guide. The filters are defined across a specific ESB node: so every service picks them up.

BTW, take a look at the jbossesb-properties.xml file at the Filters section.
