passing parameters to @Service objects?

In creating a jboss service you can pass init parameters in jboss-service.xml. Is it possible to do the same using ejb3 @Service annotated objects?

Another thought.
Is the object a singleton within the context of each server when in a cluster, or a singleton within the cluster?

Can't seem to find reference to this anywhere.
