EntityManager Clear does not detach objects

Hi

This is in reference to the post

I am having the same problem where the collections inside my entity are remaining to be persistent collections even after calling entitymanager.clear.

Isn't this against EJB spec? Or do I need to go through what is demonstrated in that post? Can someone please clarify?
