abhinav19 Dec 19, 2006 3:20 PM (in response to abhinav19)Hi
the application.xml is
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<application
version="5"
xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/application_5.xsd">
<display-name>ats</display-name>
<web-uri>ats.war</web-uri>
<context-root>/ats</context-root>
/ats-EJB.jar
the packaging for app-EJB.jar is
app-EJB
->META-INF
-> application.xml
-> ejb-jar.xml
-> jboss.xml
-> jbosscmp-jdbc.xml
-> manifest.mf
->org
->abc
->app
->action --- my action sub classes are here
->dto --- my DTOs are here
->utils --- just one class StringLiterals.class
->form --- form beans
->vertebrae --- EJB package
->ejb
->user
->Session & Entity classes & interfaces
Hope this helps you

abhinav19 Dec 19, 2006 5:29 PM (in response to abhinav19)the element <java> encloses the value /ats-EJB.jar
Somehow the CMS ate up the keyword java -
4. Re: Help With EJB 3 & JBoss 4.0.5
alrubinger Dec 20, 2006 12:37 AM (in response to abhinav19)Try enclosing "/ats-EJB.jar" in :
<ejb>ats-EJB.jar</ejb>
Also, I don't recognize the schema definition you're using...was expecting to see:<application xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee" version="1.4" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com /xml/ns/j2ee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee/application_1_4.xsd">
Where did you find the version 5 example posted?

wolfgangknauf Dec 20, 2006 10:04 AM (in response to abhinav19)Hi Al,
the JavaEE 5 application.xml comes from here: http://www.informatik.fh-wiesbaden.de/~knauf/public/
And it works fine with JBoss 4.0.5/EJB3, so this can't be the reason.
I am more interested in ejb-jar.xml

7. Re: Help With EJB 3 & JBoss 4.0.5
wolfgangknauf Dec 28, 2006 10:01 AM (in response to abhinav19)I have to admit that web projects according to the JavaEE5 spec will make the JSP EL language unusable, so it is better to keep web projects in 2.4.
