1. Re: Utility to convert my gpd.xml to processdefinition.xml
kukeltje Dec 19, 2005 10:04 AM (in response to akula.pratap)You mean you have a gpd.xml and no processdefinition.xml? Did your system crash or something, cause nromally both are created by the GPD

tsvoboda Jan 4, 2006 10:10 AM (in response to akula.pratap)Ihave tha same problem, just imagine, I paste XML from tutorial :-))
It would be heplful, if , there would be the layout file created automatically if missing even with messy layout (all in one place), than the user would have the ability to layout it manually.
Thanks,

3. Re: Utility to convert my gpd.xml to processdefinition.xml
koen.aers Jan 4, 2006 11:01 AM (in response to akula.pratap)There *is* a workaround for this, albeit an unorthodox one. You create a new (empty) processdefinition with the gpd, then overwrite the generated processdefinition.xml file with the one that comes from whatever other source you have. Close and open the editor and you can begin layouting your nodes manually ;-)

4. Re: Utility to convert my gpd.xml to processdefinition.xml
michaelholtzman Jan 5, 2006 5:17 PM (in response to akula.pratap)I tried that last tip (start a new process definition, and past in externally created XML). The result was a graph diagram with all the elements drawn on top of themselves.
I could grab some of the labels (transitions, I think) but I could not resize or move the nodes.
To reiterate: I have xml created by an external program. I would like to import the process definition xml into GPD, and view/edit it graphically. Is this possible?
BTW, this was using GPD 3.0.5

5. Re: Utility to convert my gpd.xml to processdefinition.xml
koen.aers Jan 9, 2006 9:05 AM (in response to akula.pratap)There was indeed a bug in 3.0.5 that prevented the nodes from being repositioned. This bug is removed now. Check the yesterday released 3.0.6 version.
