arjakki Oct 2, 2006 12:47 PM (in response to jainer)Hi ,
I din't really gotch u. You mean you want to create multiple tasks in the same task node dynamically or you want to make a copy of existing task and create a new tasks out of it.

jainer Oct 2, 2006 3:45 PM (in response to jainer)Hi
My problem is this:
I've a task in the StartState of my process, and i've created various instances of this same task, the first time is created the task instance in the StartState node, but the others times the task instance is created in the next node, in my case, in a fork. I don't know how to resolve my problem.

jainer Oct 2, 2006 4:06 PM (in response to jainer)I've created various task instances of the same task in the same process instance. This task instances should to be created in the StartState node. The first time that i create the task instance, the task is in the StartState node... good!, i finalize the task instance normally, but the second time that i create the task instance, this task is in other node. I don't know why.
sorry for my poor english
thanx!!! -

arjakki Oct 2, 2006 4:37 PM (in response to jainer)Hi,
Just for my understanding . How are creating the Task Instances.
I mean your wrting code or leaving to the JBPM frame work to create the task instance (or task) when moving from one task node to another tasknode .
Thnaks

8. Re: various instances from the same task
jainer Oct 2, 2006 4:54 PM (in response to jainer)i just modified a little the code of startProcessInstance method in the HomeBean, i just put a decisions, but the code for to create the task instances is the same:
// create a new process instance to run ProcessInstance processInstance = new ProcessInstance(processDefinition); // create a new taskinstance for the start task TaskInstance taskInstance = processInstance.getTaskMgmtInstance().createStartTaskInstance(); // Save the process instance along with the task instance jbpmContext.save(processInstance); // Fill the task backing bean with useful information taskBean.initialize(taskInstance); return "task";
Thanx -

10. Re: various instances from the same task
arjakki Oct 6, 2006 12:37 PM (in response to jainer)Hi,
Look for the task node properties.
signal attribute {unsynchronized|never|first|first-wait|last|last-wait}, default is last. signal specifies the effect of task completion on the process execution continuation
http://docs.jboss.com/jbpm/v3/userguide/jpdl.html#tasknode.element.
Let me know if that helps.

jainer Oct 6, 2006 12:51 PM (in response to jainer)I resolved my problem using various process instances (my problem of various task instances), and with a decision the last process starts a subprocess, where take data from the last process instances.
Now my problem is other, 'cause i cannot to take variables with contexInstance.getVariable("variableName") (i don't now why) in my ActionHandler
But thank u very much Abhiram!!!!!!! -
