Seems that if you want to perform an async task from the jpdl code, you need to add this following command into your handler call...context.getTask().setBlocking(true);
Then from an outside java code perform this sampleorg.jbpm.command.SignalCommand sign = new org.jbpm.command.SignalCommand(); sign.setTokenId(119L); sign.execute(jbpmContext);
