I noticed this in my server.log of JBoss, which means my gwt-console does not seem to work.
2008-11-20 21:42:47,750 DEBUG [org.jboss.web.tomcat.service.TomcatDeployer] Using session cookies default setting 2008-11-20 21:42:47,765 INFO [org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader] validateJarFile(C:\jboss-4.2.3.GA\server\default\.\tmp\deploy\tmp64299gwt-console-server-exp.war\WEB-INF\lib\servlet-api-2.5.jar) - jar not loaded. See Servlet Spec 2.3, section 9.7.2. Offending class: javax/servlet/Servlet.class 2008-11-20 21:42:47,828 DEBUG [javax.enterprise.resource.webcontainer.jsf.config] ConfigureListener.contextInitialized(/gwt-console-server)
this might not be the reason the gwt console does not work. Admitted, the servlet-api should not be in there, but it should just be ignored.
