    jBPM4 and BAM

    stfkbf

      Hi

I have installed jBPM4 (downloaded the zip from sourceforge) and run some example processes. However i cant seem to find the BAM and reporting functionality? Also it is not mentioned in the users guide that comes with the download.

Is this only available in trunk? If so which part of the source in svn should one recompile in order to test this out?

          Hi

I'm very interested too in the topic how BAM resp. reporting functionality works with jBPM4.

I have been working with jbpm3.x, but not with the BAM functionality, and as far I remember, there was a separate bam-application.

I have installed jbpm4 and experimented a little bit with the new gwt-console.
There I can find a menu for reporting with submenu "Available Reports->Processes", where two predefined reports are available.

Is this the place, where in future maybe more reports will be available and userdefined reports can be defined?

I tried to find out the answer in dev and userguide, but could not find an hint to BAM.

Any ideas or knowledge where BAM and jbpm4 is going to is very appreciated

          Johannes

            Hi

Yes i saw this too when i downloaded the GA version.

I am fairly certain that new reports can be deployed here using the Eclipse BIRT report tool (ie. its possble to define custom reports). There is some info in the wiki:

            http://www.jboss.org/community/wiki/ReportserverGWTConsolejBPM

but this might be outdated, and i have to admit i have not tried this myself.

Currently, you can adapt the default reports using Eclipse BIRT.

In the future, it will be possible to inlclude custom reports (you can already completely adapt the default ones).
