    helloworld page reuse user/admin portlet

      Hello,

I deployed successfully helloworld portlet and page into jboss-portal.

However, helloworld page only has one window. Is it possible to reuse windows defined in core portal? I think it is important to keep the page similar. (All pages has user and category window).

      thanks

          Hi,

I tried to remove all page definitions, portlet definitions and portlet instance definitions from portal-core.war and put them to the helloworld application.

That is to say, even the default page is also defined in the helloworld application.

After rebuild and redeploy, some windows such as forum, test etc displayed properly. But user portlet window and admin window only displayed the decoration (no contents are displayed).

Please help! If this way works, i think the whole portal development become much simple.

Personlly, i really this way works.

          Thanks a lot

What have you rebuilt...? Wasn't it enough just to remove page definitions, portlet definitions ... from XML descriptors from the folder portal-core.war? I will follow your idea and want to know more details.
              Thanks,
