Porting a purely HTML website to JBoss portal

I am new to portals and webdav. I am trying to port my purely HTML website (no servlets/JSPs) to JBoss portal 2.0 on JBoss 4.0.2. It is not clear to me in which directory I must "drop" my website (htdocs/pub folder) so that my index.html is picked up instead of default index.html.
Please give some practical suggestions about this problem. I am using
windows XP.

Either that content needs to be imported in to the CMS, or you need to write a portlet that will "scrape" that html from an existing web directory. It depends on what you want to achieve here.
