get 404 error when get http://localhost:8080/portal

I am using

jboss-4.0.3SP1
with Portal 2.2
Oracle 9i database.

The server seems starting fine. Schema is created. but get 404 error when typing above.

Any help is appreciated

Look for something like this in your JBoss log:

22:55:22,629 WARN [ObjectDeployment] Cannot create portal object Portal[default] because the parent '' that the deployment descriptor references does not exist
---

I am seeing that, with the same result you are - the portal URL does not work, but the schema is created.

I already posted earlier about this issue, but have seen no response yet.

For the Oracle fix, you need to use Portal 2.2RC2+
