1. Re: where is my remote portlet?
shijiangpeng Feb 14, 2007 5:11 PM (in response to shijiangpeng)sorry, forget to quote my xml document in right way. Here is the jboss-portlet.xml file:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <portlet> <portlet-name>HelloWorldPortlet</portlet-name> <remotable>true</remotable> </portlet>

2. Re: where is my remote portlet?
claprun Feb 14, 2007 5:49 PM (in response to shijiangpeng)Are there any exceptions in server.log or on the console? Your portlet should be visible via the "self" portlet provider.

3. Re: where is my remote portlet?
danielguelzow Feb 19, 2007 6:05 AM (in response to shijiangpeng)I think I had the same problem, offering portlets remotable.
Try this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<portlet-app>
true
<portlet-name>AJAXInvoiceViewerPortlet</portlet-name>
</portlet-app>
Add the tag not within tag but within <portlet-app> tag. Then it should be visible in the "self" portlet provider. -
4. Re: where is my remote portlet?
danielguelzow Feb 19, 2007 6:08 AM (in response to shijiangpeng)Ok, now quoted as code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <portlet-app> <remotable>true</remotable> <portlet> <portlet-name>AJAXInvoiceViewerPortlet</portlet-name> </portlet> </portlet-app>

5. Re: where is my remote portlet?
claprun Feb 19, 2007 1:15 PM (in response to shijiangpeng)Do you have any kind of exception on the console? You shouldn't have to set the remotable element at the top level. Could you send me a WAR file that exhibits the issue if you can replicate it?

6. Re: where is my remote portlet?
claprun Mar 4, 2007 4:29 PM (in response to shijiangpeng)There seems to be a problem with the remotable element for individual portlets. I'm investigating the issue.

7. Re: where is my remote portlet?
claprun Mar 4, 2007 6:11 PM (in response to shijiangpeng)Actually, after more testing, it works as expected. Make sure that the portlet-name is the same in portlet.xml and jboss-portlet.xml.
