Using of Google Gadgets

I just read that i can use Portal with Google Gadgets..
My question is how to deploy gadgets on my own without google..

Not sure what you mean? Do you want to use "gadgets" other than the ones provided by Google?

No, i want to use Google Gadgets..
The problem of using google gadgets that you need to place link to gadget uploaded to google server.
So when i use Portal and JBoss Server all my gadgets must be uploaded on Google Server or on my own ?

Can i use portlets same way as Google Gadgets ?
