3. Re: Can portlet eindow properties be accessed from the stand
julien1 Apr 10, 2008 12:06 PM (in response to erezharari)you can use jboss portal public api to do that http://docs.jboss.com/jbportal/v2.6.4/referenceGuide/html/portalapi.html#d0e5126
for getting the current node (window node) you need for now to cast the request into JBossPortletRequest and do:PortalNode thisNode = req.getPortalNode();
I hope to provide a better way to access the current portal node in the future, probably using a request attribute or a thread local based mechanism. -

erezharari Apr 10, 2008 11:49 PM (in response to erezharari)Great!
so actually, in order to hook into the portal from within a portlet i do not need any jndi lookup for services. i can just use this simple API :-)
what about hooking into the portal PortalSession and PortalRuntimeContext? can they be also accessed from within a portlet? -
5. Re: Can portlet eindow properties be accessed from the stand
erezharari Apr 11, 2008 1:40 AM (in response to erezharari)if i'm not mistaken, JBossRenderRequest is in v. 2.2 and not in v. 2.6.4.
which is the equivalent then in v. 2.6.4? -
6. Re: Can portlet eindow properties be accessed from the stand
erezharari Apr 13, 2008 6:49 AM (in response to erezharari)OK,
I found org.jboss.portlet.JBossRenderRequest. however, it does not contain getPortalNode() method.. it's located in jboss-portlet-api-lib.jar.. -
