Issue with error handling configuration

I'm trying to set up error handling in JBoss Portal and need to set up error pages. Modification of portal policy properties and page policy properties (jboss-portal.sar\conf\data\default-object.xml, setting properties to "jsp") gives no effect -- in case of adding code, which throws exception to the page jboss-portal.sar\portal-core.war\layouts\generic\index.jsp, portal does not show error message/redirect to error page.

Configuration: JBoss Portal 2.6.5 SP1, bundled with JBoss AS 4.2.2.GA; sample portal application.

Unfortunately you are not the only one struggling with this issue. There were several posts in the past regarding this issue but no solution. The problem seems that error does not reach the portal but gets thrown from Catalina's valve somewhere down the line. And it seems that nobody wants to acknowledge it from jboss portal.

It seems portal policy and page policy works for all the other portlets but not the CMS portlet.

Sachin, have you tried to set access_denied to do something else then the default settings provided by the portal?

i created Portal named SecurePortal then added all the portal level and page level properties using Admin Portlet for this SecurePortal.It works.
