Jboss Portal 2.6.5 Production DB Question Urgent Help

Hi,

We manually extracted the DDL from the Database tables created when Portal starts and created a empty tables on a different database.

Question

1. When i point a Portal to this new database i longer see the Portlets working? Do i need to inserts data into any tables?

Any quick help is appreciated.

I suppose there are some questions to ask to help you out...

1. Have you restarted your application server or redeployed portal server? You need to have the deployment process to take place for the tables to be filled.

2. Is there any particular reason you copied the table structure and left it empty? Why not just leave the tables out since they will be regenerated if they don't exist anyway.

We needed the tables created in a right Tablespace etc.., and the most data of these tables are filled after the restart of the server but i donot see the admin/user created in the JBP_USER tables any idea why?

That data is only inserted when there is no jbp_user table found. Remove the table as well as jbp_role to get the defaults back in.
