how to create a Jboss portlet

I am trying to create a portlet.I am struck with problems .can any body please tel me the detail creation of a sample jboss portlet with an example .
I have setup the environment .
I am using jboss-portal-2.7.1. on jboss:4.2.0 and jrockit90_150_04.

Look at the JBoss Portal Reference Guide, it contains a chapter titled "Portlet Primer".
