1. Re: JBAS-3969 issue
alesj Nov 8, 2007 11:13 AM (in response to alesj)Since I'm trying to fix http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBAS-4636 and I'm getting the same exception as Thomas did, even with Scott's resolution on 3969 and our new VFS beta6 release.

2. Re: JBAS-3969 issue
adrian.brock Nov 8, 2007 11:40 AM (in response to alesj)I also saw the problem when running the tests under Maven
(there's no problem inside Eclipse?)
See http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBMICROCONT-185
and http://viewvc.jboss.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/jbossas/projects/microcontainer/trunk/deployers-vfs/src/tests/org/jboss/test/deployers/vfs/structure/AbstractStructureTest.java?revision=63911&view=markup
When I tried to debug the problem, I couldn't reproduce the problem
using the code for the URLStreamHandler class from src.zip that comes with the JDK.
It's another example of the src doesn't match the class in the JDK. :-( -

Starting 'run -c all' + 'testsuite/build -Dtest=deployers test. -
5. Re: JBAS-3969 issue
starksm64 Nov 8, 2007 3:01 PM (in response to alesj)Ok, I'll take a look at it once my workspace is in sync. Is the beta6 release of the vfs complete and in use by jbossas trunk now? It did not seem clearly so based on the vfs release thread.

The release is commited in the svn repo: http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/jbossas/projects/vfs/tags/2.0.0.Beta6/ and as such linked in the jbossas trunk (fixed the build-thirdparty.xml accordingly).
But it's still missing in maven2 repo: http://repository.jboss.org/maven2/org/jboss/jboss-vfs/.
Since we (Adrian and me) still didn't figure out what's the cause of his errors while dry running and my release procedure not showing in the repo.
If you could put it there that would be great. :-)
I did ping PaulG about this issue, and I hope he'll be able to assist me. -
7. Re: JBAS-3969 issue
starksm64 Nov 8, 2007 10:01 PM (in response to alesj)Any test using the vfs urls on the client side needs to add the java.protocol.handler.pkgs system property. The test target was not doing this. I have added it.
<junit dir="${module.output}"...> ... <sysproperty key="java.protocol.handler.pkgs" value="org.jboss.virtual.protocol"/>
