    Seam/jBPM Any Getting Started Code?

I'm just curious if there's any code available showcasing Seam/jBPM integegration.

Should I be using current CVS or available binaries for stable code?

      Thanks,
      Anthony

If you go to CVS, you will find jBPM examples in examples/bpm and examples/dvdstore. The two examples use jBPM in slightly different ways, so it might be helpful to look at both of them.

Note that there are still some missing things in the Seam/jBPM integration, and this stuff will be MUCH slicker in the next release. I promise ,)

For phase 1 of my project, mostly input forms and review only, should I use what's in CVS or the released beta binary? I also wanted to tie-in some workflow since their is a chain of command potential here.

As mentioned days ago, this will eventually (end of this year) tie-in to our portal release and I'm hoping to do that with JBossPortal as well.

                Gavin...continuation from above reply....

I'm just somewhat confused what release (cvs or binary release) to use for my product at this time.

My timeline is short and I've been given the goahead to start this today with a prelim release (forms/db enabled) by next wednesday. I want to start the framework for what will become the total solution (portal and workflow) by the end of the year.

                Thanks,

We plan to do a beta2 release in the next few weeks, but note that what is in CVS right now is not much different to the first beta release. Give us a chance to implement the improved jBPM integration and then we will push out a new release. Dev has stalled a bit while Ive been in Israel and Thomas has been busy figuring out some quirks with Tomcat integration, and not much will happen next week due to JBossWorld, but right now we are all together in Neuchatel planning out the next release and we do have aggressive timelines for that.

For now continue to use the beta 1 release. Note that JBoss 4.0.3 went out last night, so Seam now runs in 4.0.3, and you don't need the special JBoss build anymore.

Will your next release also be better integrated with JBossPortal?...this is critical for me since my solution revolves around a portal which I need to start showing within 4 wks or less....I'm going to hang around since I think it's worth it but I don't want to cut it too close.

                    Regards and GREAT work!

We are going to sit down and discuss the portal integration next week at JBW. I don't yet have a clear picture of exactly what is involved and how much work it is.
