1. Re: Error in last nighty build
maxandersen Feb 21, 2006 2:51 AM (in response to rengar)any chance you are reverse engineering composite keys ?

2. Re: Error in last nighty build
rengar Feb 21, 2006 1:09 PM (in response to rengar)No.
This error is when source code is generating. -

maxandersen Feb 22, 2006 1:38 AM (in response to rengar)and ? :)
the source code uses your mapping files or the reverse engineered stuff...and if that contains composite keys the Seam stuff currently breaks down. -

uaarkoti Feb 22, 2006 3:42 PM (in response to rengar)Is there a workaround if we use composite keys for this issue?

5. Re: Error in last nighty build
maxandersen Feb 22, 2006 3:47 PM (in response to rengar)no, the seam templates does not currently support composite keys.
So, did you use composite keys in the mappings you used for the generation ? -
6. Re: Error in last nighty build
uaarkoti Feb 22, 2006 3:51 PM (in response to rengar)The code seems to be generating a composite key by itself. Here is the simplified version of DB schema I'm using for the seam application
User (id, name) address(id, street, city, zip) useraddress(userid, addressid)
For userAddress the code seems to be generating UserAddressId composite key.
Is there anyway this can be avoided."max.andersen@jboss.com" wrote:

7. Re: Error in last nighty build
uaarkoti Feb 22, 2006 7:13 PM (in response to rengar)By the way, if I make is a simple key instead of composite key it work as you mentioned. I need that key to be composite key so is there any work around for this problem?

maxandersen Feb 23, 2006 12:48 AM (in response to rengar)None either than fixing the templates.

julianhall Mar 9, 2006 5:14 PM (in response to rengar)Hi Max,
Do you know if there are any plans in the future to implement the functionality for the composite keys?
