mixing ejb-jar and annotations

I want to define env-entry entries in ejb-jar.xml. However I am using annotations for the beans themselves. How do i integrate the two ?

The EJB3 docs show how to do this:

However, I just tried it and couldn't make it work with a Seam application. I don't know if this is an EJB3 issue or a Seam issue. I'll try and play with it some later, but in the meantime, maybe the docs link will help some.
