s:dynamicImage is possible in Seam 1.1.5

Hi there,

It is great that s:selectItems will be released in Seam 1.1.5 (found from Seam-Road-Map). I am wondering whether it is possible to move the DynamicImage component in Seam-wiki to Seam UI. I think that the DynamicImage is used a lot in Web 2.0, as same as s:fileUpload, s:formattedText. Thanks a lot.

As 1.1.5 is being released this week, a dynamic image component isn't going to make it in. Resource loading more generally is certainly an issue that needs addressing.

As for selectitems, some of the functionality currently in SeamSelectItems will make it into 1.1.5.

I've added s:graphicImage to CVS (along with docs and updated seamspace to use the tag). Please test for me.

How long then will that image be available for downloading by the browser, e.g. if I give it a byte array?

Let's say some browser instance somewhere for whatever reason comes back four minutes later to get that image at a URL.

Currently it won't be - its something I mulled over quite a lot and couldn't come up with a good use case - whats yours?. It would be possible to have an expires attribute on the tag I think.

I've updated this in cvs so you apply transforms to the image - take a look at the user manual.

Please put a feature request in JIRA if other transform are needed.
