ComboBox and javascript

Hi i would like to dynamically (by javascript) add to the DOM tree new combobox items and be able also to delete and edit them. How can i do this ?

i mean richfaces combo box of course not html :-) is this really not the proper forum for this kind of question ?

This is what I was afraid of.
One more thing: When I try to validate richfaces demo pages with W3C Markup Validation Service they just keep showing errors :(
