Excel spreadsheets generation

Hi,
I would like to know how can I generate Excel spreadsheets in my xhtml pages. I'm using JBoss Seam 1.2.1GA.

The only way I know of how to do it is by generating the Excel data in an action method using one of the available Java Excel Frameworks.
