1. Re: s:selectDate startYear problem
shane.bryzak Sep 6, 2007 7:30 PM (in response to pdhaigh)I just tried the seamspace example and the startYear/endYear attributes are working fine there. However, this is moot as the selectDate control has just been deprecated in favour of the RichFaces date control.

pdhaigh Sep 7, 2007 5:38 AM (in response to pdhaigh)Thats rather unfortunate to need to include RichFaces for a project just for the date feature.. :-(

pmuir Sep 7, 2007 5:48 AM (in response to pdhaigh)Well the logic is that you are probably using *some* extra JSF component library on top of the basic impl (e.g. Trinidad, RF, Icefaces) - pretty much every one provides a calendar control. And Seam doesn't need to reinvent the wheel here (we got a *lot* of issues with the control that tied up dev time)

pdhaigh Sep 11, 2007 7:58 AM (in response to pdhaigh)I must be being pretty stupid... where is the Richfaces date control? It doesn't appear to have one in 3.0.1 (the latest)?

6. Re: s:selectDate startYear problem
supernovasoftware.com Sep 11, 2007 5:00 PM (in response to pdhaigh)Seam should focus on integration with other projects and not have controls that are already implemented and proven stable in other libraries.
For example
quartz integration. +1
Pete's Trinidad/Richfaces example. +1
Itext Integration +1
I can't wait for the RF 3.1 integration example. :) -

pmuir Sep 11, 2007 5:19 PM (in response to pdhaigh)+10 - we don't have time to reinvent the wheel ;)
