Is there a way to send a little ajax request like a4j:push?

Hi,

When the user edit his document on using rich:editor, there is not request sent to server. the session of the user may be time out sometimes.So i want to send a request on onchanged event of the rich:editor, a little request like a4j:push do is enough.

Is there a way to do this?

you could use poll to send request periodically or support on onchange event as it shown at demo.

yes, with onchange event i can do what i want. But I think it is better if i can send the mini request like a4j:push. Is it possible?

only poll, push request did not pass through Faces lifecycle except the case when the event actually present at server. So it will not keep your session.

a4j:push don't keep the session active??? I don't think so.

because this is just one of my problems 2 weeks ago. My application has a short session expire time(10 minutes), but if the user open the page with a a4j:push and go away, his session will never be time out,and his connection is always active. This can not happen if you are right, is not it?
