advice needed - jsf components vs. ajax

I am having all kinds of trouble using richfaces - are all jsf component packages about the same? what are you folks using that works pretty well? are you using ajax components instead?

What is the trouble with RichFaces? Technical difficulties or just missing component types you need?

Trinidad is probably the most comprehensive component set that supports Ajax (They call it Partial Page Rendering PPR)
