Sorry it's french, it seems that localization is somehow broken for this message, it's the only message I have in french when switching from fr to en.
Anyway, it means something like :
Conversion error when value '1' is set for model '#{fUInstance.roles}' : Exception: {2}.
Can U point me the example you checked so I can search for differences in my configuration.

dbinder Nov 29, 2007 4:54 PM (in response to dbinder)I debug the rendere of the menufamilly to realize that the property boound to the value of my selectmany is a Set rather than a List.
The problem with that is that this set is in fact a manytomany mapping so I'd prefer to keep it as a Set.
Now that it's a pure JSF problem I'll find a way to manage this. -
