4. Re: Is JBoss ESB JBI compliant?
anescu Apr 16, 2007 7:24 AM (in response to carl_johnson82)Hi,
Same question here, is JBoss ESB JBI compliant? If yes, which version? If not, which release is going to be JBI compliant? I'm working on a project where we will need a Binding Component for ESB, and we kind of need it now. I looked on all the docs for both 4.0GA and 4.2M1 but I can find only 2-3 references to JBI, and I can't find anywhere if it is compliant or not.
So please answer asap.
Thanks. -
5. Re: Is JBoss ESB JBI compliant?
marklittle Apr 16, 2007 7:51 AM (in response to carl_johnson82)Same answer as before: no, but it's on our roadmap. The next release is 4.2, but I wouldn't expect to see JBI in JBossESB until a version after that. Unless you want to lend a hand ;-)

anescu Apr 18, 2007 3:03 AM (in response to carl_johnson82)Hi,
I will probably be forced to lend a hand :).
We are working on a project that will have to deal with listeners from various sources:
SMTP, fetch mail, FTP, FTP push, WS and so on, I'm now trying the 4.0GA version and I see that you have only the FTP/file/SQL listeners, so far. So we will probably create some of the listeners ourselves, if you don't do it in the meantime. -
7. Re: Is JBoss ESB JBI compliant?
marklittle Apr 18, 2007 5:23 AM (in response to carl_johnson82)We've had JMS and SFTP for quite a while (before the 4.0GA release).
WS support is going into the trunk now and will be available for the next MR1 around JavaOne. -

talbeno May 8, 2007 4:06 PM (in response to carl_johnson82)Congratulations on the JBossESB 4.2 MR2 released.
Any idea please regarding the timeframe of your next release? Is it still scheduled to include JBI support? -
9. Re: Is JBoss ESB JBI compliant?
kconner May 8, 2007 5:52 PM (in response to carl_johnson82)The current schedule is to release the GA around the July/August timeframe. We are not intending to include JBI support at this time but this may change if we can find someone who is willing to help out.
JBI is likely to be considered for the subsequent release (ESB 5).

burrsutter May 13, 2007 9:47 PM (in response to carl_johnson82)tal.beno,
I would love to hear about the Binding Components and Service Engines that you would like to build/use and therefore need a JBI-compliant container. Feel free to contact me via these forums (or via email) to discuss your BC & SE needs.
Thank you,
