Is Richfaces a JBoss specific replacement for MyFaces?

If I want to use JSF components on a web page I have to use MyFaces
on TomCat based installations.

When I want to replace TomCat by JBoss do I have to replace MyFaces completely
by RichFaces ?

Or does MyFaces code run on JBoss as well?

Hi Thomas,

MyFaces is JSF implementation. RichFaces is a component library for JSF, it can be used either with Sun RI or MyFaces: http://jboss.org/file-access/default/members/jbossrichfaces/freezone/docs/devguide/en/html/TechnicalRequirements.html#SupportedJavaServerFacesImplementations.
And you can use MyFaces with JBoss AS if you wish: http://www.jboss.org/community/docs/DOC-10182
