outbound jms gateway

After reviewing the docs and the forum I can't find a "direct" way to route a message to an outbound jms gateway. I see I could use notifications or a custom action to publish the message, but it seems that routing the message to an external jms destination, or for that matter to any external endpoint, is a common enough case that it should be supported just like inbound gateways. Or am I missing something????

No, you're not missing anything. This is due to the original Rosetta architecture and is something we're going to fix in a future release.

Not at this stage, since everyone is busy with the SOA Platform and CP branch. If you want to give it a try yourself we'll help as much as we can through the forums.

Gateways are inbound only
Notifiers are outbound only
in the current 4.x architecture, this question has come up several times before now.
