Sorry... there's no graphical editor for Smooks yet.

What version of the ESB are you using? If you're working from trunk source (uses Smooks v1.0), there's a developer tool with that. It's a Report Generator that generates a Smooks Execution Report in HTML. In it you can graphically see the event stream produced by your message (CSV in your case) and the resources (transforms etc) that were applied to that event stream.

            We are using JBOSS-ESB 4.2.1.

Is there any higher level tool which makes it easier to define mapping via smooks? May be a web based tool similar to BRMS?

            Regards,

As yet, there are no Smooks Designer tools of any description (graphical or other). It is something we're going to be focusing on post Smooks v1.0 release (next week).

                  Tom,
I looked at the following demos posted by you on JBOSS wikipedia website.

                  http://www.jboss.org/jbossesb/resources/tutorials/xformation-demos/console-demos.html

The demo1 is suggesting that a Smooks configuration tool is available. The is published under your name only. can you please clarify what these demos are for ?

                  Thanks

                    Vineet, you're like a dog with a bone ;-)

That console was something we did as an "experiment" back in the 4.0 days (or before). It was not supportable so it was discontinued. That console isn't available in the current codebase.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention... I'll make sure to remove those demos now!
