1. Re: support for the IBM Telnet 3270 protocol to access mainf
beve Mar 9, 2009 5:26 AM (in response to jgofio)Hi,
there is nothing like this at the moment. But there was a post by a community member that was developing something for integration with AS/400:
http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=4171687
, and this jira was created for it:
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBESB-1996
Let me check the status of this and get back to you.

jgofio Mar 13, 2009 5:32 AM (in response to jgofio)Hi Daniel,
Thank you very much for your answer.
What the custumer demands is a 'no cost' way of integrate his legacy AS/400 as services in the ESB. That means the customer doesn't need to change his Legacy ERP done in AS/400 (this is really important for them).
One way could be Screen Scraping that provides a scripted environment to read and manipulate input screens. I must confess I don't know too much about Dataqueue...
The use of this adapter you told me, based on Dataqueue, will involve modifing the code of the customer ERP or it could be used without changing the code as the Screen Scraping??
Thanks in advance again!!!! -

My understanding is that this will only work if the current application can publish to the IBM AS/400 Dataqueue. Please note that I've not seen the code for this yet.
I've never done any screen scraping so I'm of no use to you in that area. But if you are going to implement something that might be of value to others in the community please let us know and we will assist you in doing so.
