    Starting development

I have been through the getting started guide and run the samples.

What is the next step or guide for starting to develop and build new projects in JBossESB?

I am interested in building a custom socket client and a server, building message structures and transforming message formats.

      Any help appreciated.

      Regards,
      Rupert

Look through the quickstarts. There are plenty of quickstarts that will help you with transformations and building messages.

Yes, but where is documentation to show how to develop a new project from scratch?

              What information are you after?

The quickstarts show a lot of our functionality and the actions/gateways should be documented within the programmer's guide. If there is something missing then please let us know.

Apart from copying an existing example, you can also try the JBoss Developer's Studio. They have support for creating ESB projects.

I did copy a project, but it didn't work as the directory structure was different and had to include the conf folder and hack a couple of files.

It would be useful if this process was explained somewhere?
