passing coordinate values of an image to javabeans

I get coordinates of an image using javascript. Then I want to pass
these coordinate values to java beans.

I tried "a4j:jsFunction" and "a4j:actionparam". But I failed

which way do you suggest ?

Nothing special should be done in difference with standard JSF usage. just check the solutions for pure JSF
