1. Re: <rich:column> width in %
nbelaevski Feb 17, 2009 7:55 AM (in response to ramki9977)Hi Ramki,
It's not implemented now. There should be JIRA issue for that and you can vote for this feature. -

3. Re: <rich:column> width in %
ramki9977 Feb 25, 2009 11:45 PM (in response to ramki9977)hi,
my application should support all screen resolutions(higher or lower). but in my entire app we are using scrollable data table as data grids(where rich:column width is specified in px). now we are in big trouble. can you please suggest is there any option to get rid of this problem.(we want vertical and horizontal scrolls for my data grid). i think its possible only with scrollable data table or is there any work around for this.
thanks,

nbelaevski Feb 26, 2009 8:01 AM (in response to ramki9977)How about extended data table?

5. Re: <rich:column> width in %
ramki9977 Feb 26, 2009 11:47 PM (in response to ramki9977)but inside extended table also we need to use rich:column only. but the problem with rich:column only here right?. if we are able to set width in % we can go with any table(rich:dataTable or scrollableTAble or extended Table).
thanks,

nbelaevski Feb 27, 2009 7:28 AM (in response to ramki9977)Ok, have you tried using percent width columns with rich:extendedDataTable?

7. Re: <rich:column> width in %
ramki9977 Feb 27, 2009 8:40 AM (in response to ramki9977)yes i tried but column width is increasing but content inside in that column is not displaying fully. for examle if i include textbox with size=50, then its not displaying entire text box, half text going inside and not able to see.
thanks,

9. Re: <rich:column> width in %
ramki9977 Mar 2, 2009 5:33 AM (in response to ramki9977)correct, how can i avoid that text hiding. is there any plans to implement rich:column width in %.
thanks,

10. Re: <rich:column> width in %
nbelaevski Mar 2, 2009 10:42 AM (in response to ramki9977)You can change overflow: hidden to something another. Considering % support - it is not a functionality of rich:column itself, but the functionality of component that renders it, e.g. data table or scrollable data table.

11. Re: <rich:column> width in %
mnott Dec 17, 2009 12:50 PM (in response to nbelaevski)So, is there any chance that this is going to be sorted out any time soon?
I'd like to have something apparently very basic - a table that has a couple of fixed columns and in the middle a column with variable width. The columns with fixed width should really be fixed. In 3.3.2, they are (at least in FireFox) still variable and behave very awkwardly (scaling the window makes them take just about any size).
Can you please give an update on that?
Thanks!
M
