Getting available transitions for a task

I cannot get the available transitions for a task. We present the available transitions to the user. How can we get them?

Is there a way to get the entire transition object? The method just returns the names of the transitions. The answer is helpful.

why do you need the transitions?

Might I be right that you use jBPM4 like you used jBPM3?

Actually yes, I was thinking that JBPm4 uses the same code as JBPM3 .endTransitionForTask. But looks like you can completeTask by passing the transition name. I think i can live with just the name for now.
