We are developing a BIRT-based reporting system upon JBoss AS (V5.1.0). We wouldn't like to use & deploy the BIRT war /BIRT Web Viewer/ onto JBoss AS but instead we would like to use BIRT functionality as a JBoss service that could be accessed from whithin EJB, JMX, perhaps MC beans, or even JMS consumer (and not just from servlets).
Is there any BIRT integration project for JBoss AS?
Is there already any JMX/POJO service for BIRT implemented out there?
Unfortunately we have some problems integrating BIRT engine into JBoss AS (we haven't resolved these yet, they may be timing/threading issues).
Any feedback about BIRT & JBoss AS is appreciated!
