rich:editor, get selected text, get carret position

How can i get selected text from rich:editor, and carret position ?

I need it to paste text in place indicated by user.

Such questions should be adressed at tinyMCE resources. we do not changed original widget functionality, and all the info listed there is valid for rich: component.

but, anyway is there any component with that functionallity ? can i take selection from h:inputText ?
