remote client can only receive but cannot send

I am using the jboss jms.

And when the service/client are deployed on the same box, they can communicate w/o any problem. but if i deploy the client/server on different boxes, the client can only receive message from the server but cannot send anything. however, the client report success every time even the server does not actually receive anything.

does anyone meet the same problem before? and any hints about how to resolve it?

There are other legacy JMS products. and you didn't state what version of what product you're using.

i am using 2.0.0.GA of hornetQ

and the os is redheat server 4.7. and i have disabled the firewall.

If you want someone to help you you will need to post your config, code etc. or a test that displays the issue

We're not sure why it's not connecting. You didn't provide enough information for us. We can only guess at this point.

Start with something basic such as error messages you see on the logs.

My guess now is you misconfigured the connector versus acceptor. Look at the manual for more information.
