    Evolution Criteria

      Hi Communtiy,

we are going to develop new web application Using JSF and facelets. But for rich Client application we are in dilema to select which framewrok is good.So we have followed some Evolution Criteria I mean Selection Criteria for Frameworks choose ,those are

      Run-time performance,
      Developer productivity-Config,
      debugging,
      maintenance,
      version upgardes,
      component library compatibility,
Flexible Validation Logic & Error Presentation,
      Exception Handling Mechanism,
      IDE support

So please Can U help to find out the comaparison of these points regarding RichFaces with other frameworks like IceFaces1.8 and ZK.

And also suuggest any other pros are there for RichFaces over others.

      Thanks
      Uday

I will try to summarize my own experience to some of these points:

Run-time performance: Difficult to say. I developed a few small applications which are running live without problems. But for really complex RIAs you have here the same performance problems like with every other framework.

version upgrades: At regular times. As far as I can judge this. And there's a good chance that a bug you report is fixed with the next version. Or you will be informed in which version...

component library compatibility: In my opinion very good. Maybe somewhere in the doc is a list...

IDE support: Look here http://www.jboss.com/products/devstudio/ No problems since the first beta...

            Hi,

I guess it might be useful in decision, UI framework:

(However I'm not sure whether which all frameworks can be integrated with Seams).
