ModalPanel from a4j:commandLink after correct validation

I'm beginner and stuck in i think simple task...

I want to show modalPanel from a4j:commandLink after validation, when form is correct ?

I think you can do this using oncomplete attribute:

<a4j:commandLink value="..." action="..." oncomplete="if (#{facesContext.maximumSeverity==null}) #{rich:component('yourModalPanelId')}.show();"/>

#{facesContext.maximumSeverity==null} verifies whether some validation occurs, else, executes #{rich:component('yourModalPanelId')}.show();
