I have made a simple test with simple instructions.
When I run the test with stand alone HornetQ and JBoss on the same server it works.
When I run the test with stand alone HornetQ on different server than JBoss i doesn't work.
Attaching the test. Do you want me to create a JIRA?

FYI the test above works with HornetQ 2.0 (just updating the refactored Netty connection/acceptor factory to hornetq-transports in the config files).
